AI Models
Automation has changed. We are moving away from boring, scripted chatbots and entering the real era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Today’s AI uses "neural networks"—which work like a human brain—to learn from massive amounts of data.
To understand how this helps businesses, let's look at the four main types of AI models today.
The 4 Types of AI Models
Language AI (Natural Language Processing): This AI talks just like a human. Examples include ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini. You give it a command, it finds the answer, and it gets smarter as you give it more instructions.
Number AI (Numeric Processing): This AI loves math and predictions. A CEO can upload a spreadsheet of past sales figures, and the AI will predict future sales. It is also used to forecast the weather.
Sorting AI (Classification): This AI organizes data to keep companies safe. It looks at incoming emails, spots dangerous phishing or hacking attempts, and blocks them before they ever hit an employee's inbox.
Moving AI (Robotic Navigation): This AI interacts with the physical world. A great example is a self-driving Tesla. It uses data to decide exactly when to speed up, turn, stop, or honk the horn.
Enter Salesforce Agentforce
Salesforce just launched Agentforce, a smart tool that changes how businesses work. It runs on LanguageAI and uses the AtlasReasoningEngine to think like a human.
How it works: You give it a command in plain English. The AI builds a step-by-step plan in the background and does the job completely on its own.
What it does: It handles daily business tasks automatically. For example, you can tell it to find all the junk leads in your system or automatically qualify new sales leads.
Instead of forcing you to do boring paperwork, Agentforce works independently. This frees up your time so you can focus on building real, human relationships with your customers.
